I was born in Zambia but moved to South Africa as a baby. I grew up in Margate on the Natal South Coast and attended Port Shepstone High School, after which I did a Legal Secretarial Diploma, but this is not what I really wanted to do.

I moved to Johannesburg, where I met my husband, and we have three children, two sons and a daughter, two of whom are teachers.

In 1993 we moved to Botswana when my husband was offered a job in the diamond mines. It was here that I realised my passion for teaching and started working at a Creche. During this time, I studied through Unisa and earned my certificate in Early Childhood Development.

I was offered a position at the mining school and worked as a pre-school teacher for ten years. I also did homeschooling and tutoring for children, some of whom had learning difficulties. Due to legislation, I was localised. Six years ago, I purchased my current business, a stationary/gift shop with a strong emphasis on educational aids, books, toys and stationery.

My husband and I firmly believe that many children at different schools in Botswana need help and support, and when we heard that Biolink filled this role, we became very interested.

We are now very excited about entering a new chapter in our lives.
