Our Story

Biolink Attention Training was founded in 2008 by Prof. Deon Visser and his wife, Karin. Their journey with a child that is ‘different’, however, started a few years earlier when their eldest son was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome as well as ADHD. Deon is a Professor in Chemistry, and Karin is a qualified teacher. Their road was not an easy one, especially when their second son was also diagnosed with ADHD and struggled with anxiety and impulse control.

They know how difficult it can be watching a bright child struggle and fail. They were looking for a way that would allow their sons to unlock their potential!

Today, it’s a family business. In 2013, Karin’s sister; Marlize Robberts, joined the team. She is a qualified, registered nurse and worked for one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies specialising in ADHD medication.

If you were to ask them what has been the most exciting or rewarding part of their journey, they will say in unison that it has been the experience of helping people, young and old, on their journey of developing the skills they need in order to prosper.

Why Choose Us?

Our Mission & Our Vision

Children today are struggling more than ever before with academic, social, and behavioural issues that impact their success in school. At Biolink Attention Training, we offer support, hope, answers, and solutions for children and adults with attention, behaviour, and academic challenges.

We strongly believe that the role parents play in the school system should be clearly defined, and teachers should be the inspirational leaders of a diverse world. The only way we can do that, is by empowering parents and teachers. We want to generate new knowledge through a broad array of workshops, research materials, and supportive information, and use the content for classroom strategies.

Our vision for the future is to be parents and teachers’ first and best choice in the products and services we provide. We want to take hands with parents and teachers to ensure our children get the best support and assistance when having academic or learning challenges.

Understanding your child’s behaviour is the starting point in helping them achieve their full potential.
